Upcoming Releases: September 2025

September brings about the beginning of change each year. Kids go back to school, the temperatures begin to drop and the leaves begin to fall. At least one thing continues to be familiar — the constant stream of new pop culture collectibles releasing each month! This month has plenty of exciting releases to look forward to, including a Deadpool and Batman crossover comic, a highly anticipated Stephen King film adaptation and more. Here’s what’s coming up in September.

Upcoming Comic Releases

Deadpool / Batman #1 – September 17

A crossover once thought to be impossible comes to life in a brand-new comic series!

Marvel and DC unite for the first time in decades in Deadpool / Batman #1, a wacky adventure written by Zeb Wells and illustrated by Greg Capullo. When Wade Wilson is hired for work in Gotham City, he finds himself meeting up (and teaming up!) with characters from across the Marvel and DC universes. The one-shot will highlight additional backup stories spotlighting various characters from both universes, including fan-favorites and some surprise teams. Will the World’s Greatest Detective help Wade, or destroy him?

Disney Lorcana: Fabled – September 5

Turn the page and discover the next Disney Lorcana set!

Whether you’re a newcomer to the world of Disney Lorcana or a seasoned Illumineer, Fabled has something for everyone to enjoy. The set introduces Epic cards, which are rarer than Legendary cards but not as rare as Enchanted cards. Additionally, Iconic cards make their debut in Fabled. There are only two Iconic cards per set, and each sports full-card artwork, a custom lore star foil pattern and 3D stamp effects!

Fabled also introduces iconic characters to the world of Lorcana. Hit the stage with Goofy, Max and Powerline from “A Goofy Movie,” complete with I2I, a new Action card featuring the fan-favorite song and scene. Meanwhile, the classic Disney princesses get a glow-up, and Mickey and Minnie get new artwork and card effects as well.

2024-25 Panini Immaculate Collection Basketball – September 24

The 2024-25 NBA season concluded earlier this summer, but high-end collectors have one more set to look forward to with the upcoming release of 2024-25 Panini Immaculate Collection Basketball on September 24!

The new Immaculate Collection Basketball series features more premium hits, including jumbo and prime memorabilia relics, heralded Rookie Patch Autos and plenty of on-card autographs. Once again, the series is made up of a 100-card base set with RPAs to follow. The base RPAs are acetate, hard-signed and often have prime pieces of memorabilia embedded such as the highly sought-after NBA Logoman patches.

High-end basketball collectors can expect each hobby box to include just one pack of six premium cards, which are highlighted by guaranteed hits of three autographed cards, two memorabilia cards and a base card, base parallel or insert. Some of the most valuable cards of the NBA season will be found within the 2024-25 Panini Immaculate Collection Basketball set when it hits shelves on September 24!

Upcoming Film Releases

The Long Walk – September 12

The long-awaited film adaptation of Stephen King’s first written novel finally comes to the big screen!

In a dystopian version of the United States, the country holds an annual contest where 100 young men are forced to walk continuously along a pre-arranged route. The rules are simple: Walk, or die. Walkers must keep a consistent pace of 4 miles per hour. If they slow down or stop, they are shot on sight. The walk continues until only one contestant remains, and their prize is whatever they want for the rest of their life.

The Long Walk was Stephen King’s first-ever novel, which he wrote in high school during the 1960s. Though he wouldn’t go on to publish this novel until 1979 (nearly five years after his first published novel, Carrie, was published in 1974), it immediately became popular with fans of his works. Since then, horror enthusiasts have begged for a movie adaptation, and their wait has finally come to an end.
