Upcoming Releases: May 2025

It’s finally May, and the promise of sunny skies and fair weather makes this the perfect time to get out and enjoy the latest and greatest pop culture releases! This month has a lot going for it, including Final Destination: Bloodlines — the latest movie in the Final Destination blockbuster series — and Destined Rivals, the latest Pokémon TCG set. Here’s what we have to look forward to this May.

Star Wars #1 – May 7

Experience the new adventures of Luke, Leia and Han Solo in the wake of Return of the Jedi!

At the dawn of the New Republic, our Rebel heroes — Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa and Han Solo — find themselves fulfilling separate roles in forging a new order after the fall of the Empire. Luke must defend the New Republic from a bloodthirsty gang of mercenaries, while Han Solo investigates a deadly underworld mystery. 2025 Bowman Baseball – May 7

The 2025 MLB season is in full swing, and the return of the flagship Bowman Baseball set is just around the corner. Baseball fans have plenty to look forward to with the 2025 Bowman Baseball set, which hits shelves on May 7!

The newest Bowman set is once again the first baseball series of the season that highlights up-and-coming MLB prospects. The annual flagship Bowman series is popular with baseball collectors for several reasons, including autographed cards, Refractors and the always sought-after "1st Bowman" cards of young MLB stars.

The main Bowman base set features 100 cards of veterans and rookies, each as standard Bowman cards. The base set also features 150 prospects that include both Bowman and Bowman Chrome versions, along with a range of parallels for each card. Other returning subsets include Bowman Scouts’ Top 100 inserts, the popular Japanese-inspired Anime inserts, coveted Chrome Prospect Autograph cards and much more.

After having recurring nightmares about a tower collapsing in the 1960s, a teenager begins to have disturbing premonitions about her own family dying in modern times. Upon finding out that her grandmother saved several people from a collapsing tower decades prior, she realizes that there is a sequence to her nightmares. Caught in a race against Death himself, the teenager must find a way to prevent her family bloodline’s demise.

Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein take the lead on this interesting reimagining of the Final Destination series! Final Destination: Bloodlines releases in theaters on May 16.
