Upcoming Releases: April 2026

April is shaping up to be an amazing month for pop culture enthusiasts, especially those interested in video games! The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is on everyone’s minds as the exciting follow-up to the 2024 box office bonanza, while Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream is encouraging sales of Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 consoles in droves. If video games aren’t your thing, that’s OK — there are still plenty of releases to look forward to, like the latest TCG and sports card sets, and a new Bizarro comic!
Upcoming Comic Releases
Bizarro: Year None – April 1
![]() |
Bizarro returns with a four-issue limited series headed by legendary filmmaker and comic book writer Kevin Smith!
“Me am NOT excited for new comic!” Bizarro has a lot of opinions on his origin story, it seems, but comic fans everywhere are excited to learn more about Superman’s backwards doppelgänger. The series will follow Superman’s pal Jimmy Olsen and Clark Kent’s boss Perry White as they depart for a strange adventure in outer space. The journey leads them to a dimension that mirrors Metropolis in uncanny ways and reveres its legendary newspaper, the Daily Planet, as an article of faith. As they unravel the mystery of this bizarre world, they confront the being behind it all. Is he a misguided Superman fan, an agent of pure chaos, or no one at all?
Writers Kevin Smith and Eric Carrasco team up with artist Nick Pitarra to deliver the “definitive, indefinitive” origin story of Bizarro. Make sure to snag Issue 1 when it releases on April 1!

Upcoming TCG Releases
Magic: The Gathering – Secrets of Strixhaven – April 24
![]() |
Are you ready to return to school in the newest Magic: The Gathering set?
Strixhaven is known as the most elite university in the MTG multiverse. But the land holds mysteries and secrets that have been hidden for centuries, and its students are about to blow them wide open.
The founding dragons of Strixhaven have bid Magic players return to their halls, and we’re thrilled to take them up on the offer! The overall set is unique for having no humans, instead focusing on mythical creatures and humanoid animals as Planeswalkers. Secrets of Strixhaven will serve as the third and final story arc of the Metronome storyline, offering a conclusion to the story that started in Wilds of Eldraine.
The set will feature dozens of new cards as well as reprints and re-imaginings of old favorites. One particularly intriguing example is Emeritus of Ideation, which seems to be extremely close to Ancestral Recall — one of the coveted Power 9. Additionally, a card called Mana Sculpt seems to echo Mana Drain, also being released in this set. It’s certainly causing a buzz ahead of Secrets of Strixhaven’s release.
Put down the books and get ready to apply practical theory as you head into the world of Arcavios in Secrets of Strixhaven, which releases on April 24!
