Early Nintendo Games Certified by CGC Video Games Highlight Heritage Sale

Leading the CGC-certified games is a sealed "black box" Super Mario Bros. graded CGC 9.4 A+.

Dozens of classic video games from Nintendo certified by CGC Video Games™ are being offered in an ongoing Heritage Auctions sale. Online bidding is already underway for Heritage’s Nintendo 8 to 64-Bit Video Games Showcase Auction, which is set to end on May 25, 2023.

A sealed Super Mario Bros. for the Nintendo Entertainment System (1989) graded CGC 9.4 A+ (lot 80082) was leading the CGC-certified items in the auction, with bidding already over $4,000 more than a week before the sale. A sealed copy of the standalone Super Mario Bros. title is exceptionally rare, because most copies of Super Mario Bros. for the NES were either included as a pack-in cartridge with the Nintendo Entertainment System itself, or as a dual-package along with Duck Hunt.
