CGC-certified Comics and Video Games Offered by Hake's Auctions

The latest sale presented by Hake's Auctions is now online, offering more than 300 comic books from the Golden Age to Modern eras that are graded by Certified Guaranty Company® (CGC®). Also featuring CGC-graded video games as well as other collectible memorabilia, the auction is scheduled to end on March 21-22, 2023.

Among the CGC-graded comics available in this auction is an X-Men #1 graded CGC 7.0. This book includes the origin and first appearance of the mutant superhero team known as the X-Men, as well as the first appearances of Cyclops, Iceman, Angel, Beast, Marvel Girl, their mentor Professor X and nemesis Magento.

Also featured in this auction is a Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) Killer Instinct graded CGC 9.8 A++. Developed by Rare and published by Midway and Nintendo, the game was first released for arcade in 1994 and arrived on the Super Nintendo game system in 1995. The game sold 3.2 million copies for the SNES, including 150,000 copies on the first day of its release. The story of the game is about the megacorporation Ultratech organizing a tournament called "Killer Instinct," which involves regular participants fighting experimental creatures created by Ultratech.
