CGC Now Grading Famicom, Japanese GB, GBC, GBA Games and More!

Send your international Nintendo games, Atari cartridges, Sega Genesis cartridges, PS1 and Dreamcast games to CGC for expert grading, authentication and encapsulation services!

CGC is thrilled to announce that several new video game types are now eligible for grading, including Japanese Game Boy, Game Boy Advance and Game Boy Color games, Famicom cassettes and disks, Atari cartridges, Sega Genesis cartridges and more!

Here’s a full list of everything CGC is now accepting for grading:

North American Releases:

  • Sega Genesis cartridges, including tall cartridges from third-party developers such as EA, Atari Accolade, Ballistic and RazorSoft
  • Atari 2600, 7800 and assorted ColecoVision and Intellivision cartridges

Japanese Releases:

  • Nintendo Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance
  • Famicom
  • Famicom Disk
  • PS1 and Dreamcast 1.5 Thickness Jewel Cases

European and Asian Releases:

  • NES Short Boxes
  • PS1 and Dreamcast 1.5 Thickness Jewel Cases

In late 2023, CGC announced that it would begin offering its expert grading services for international games, starting with select regions and consoles. Soon after, CGC announced that it would begin grading Japanese Nintendo 64 games, which are very popular with collectors. This launch was extremely successful, and CGC is thrilled to now offer authentication, grading and encapsulation services for most international games.

“Nintendo is among the most popular type of video games to collect,” said Kenneth Thrower, Director of Grading at CGC Video Games. “Now that CGC is ready to authenticate, grade and preserve Famicom and the Japanese Nintendo handheld family of games, all regions of these Nintendo games are now eligible for CGC grading, making CGC the most convenient and affordable option for collectors.”

Also, with the addition of Atari and Sega Genesis cartridges, CGC is now ready to grade most of your Sega Genesis games, as well as all of your Sony PlayStation 1 and Sega Dreamcast collections!

Important: There are some restrictions on the regions that CGC can accept for video game submissions at this time. While CGC will accept most Famicom and Famicom Disk System games, it cannot grade larger box sizes (such as big boxes), unaccompanied manuals and inserts or pirate reproductions. If your game does not appear when filling out the CGC Video Games online submission form, simply use the “I can’t find my video game” option and enter your title’s information.
