CGC and JSA Announce On-site Comic Book Grading and Autograph Authentication Services at C2E2

CGC® and JSA® are excited to offer on-site comic book grading and autograph authentication at Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2) at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois, on March 27-29, 2026. Collectors and dealers can also drop off regular submissions of comics, magazines, pulps, cards, video games, home video collectibles and autographed memorabilia, plus CGC Signature Series witnesses will be available for signings at the show.

Because CGC and JSA’s expert services are so important to the collector experience, RX has designated CGC as its Official Onsite Grading Service and JSA as the Official Authentication Service for the C2E2 2026 and 2027 events.

About C2E2

C2E2 features comics, cosplay, gaming, wrestling and anime in the only pop culture convention in the heart of downtown Chicago! The convention gathers celebrities, unique exhibitors, incredible comic artists and larger-than-life literary authors into one place to celebrate the fandoms you love. Throughout the show, from Artist Alley to the Show Floor, there is a sense of belonging, safety and inclusion, but most importantly, creativity and fun.

On-site comic book grading at C2E2

CGC is offering on-site grading for all comic book submissions on a first-come, first-served basis at the CGC booth. CGC expects extremely high demand and space is limited, so submitters are encouraged to submit at the start of the show. On-site grading of pulps and magazines is not available at this show, and custom labels are not available at this show. Keep watching CGC for more information about pricing and deadlines to be announced soon.

JSA on-site services for autographed memorabilia

Submit autographed memorabilia for Basic Certification (COA), and items are processed and finalized the same day. Collectors can also submit items for the JSA Letter of Authenticity (LOA). These are observed the same day, with final documented results sent later by mail. Go to SpenceLOA.com/fees for submission pricing.

Preparing submissions for the show

CGC will be accepting submissions of comics, magazines, TCGs, sports cards, non-sports cards, video games and home video collectibles for grading. Autographed comics and cards may be submitted for CGC x JSA Authentic Autograph certification, and autographed memorabilia may be submitted for JSA-only services.

Why wait in line with your submission? Submit your prepared collectibles through the Express Drop-off Service and quickly hand off your collectibles to a CGC x JSA representative. Simply take the following steps before arriving:

1. Create a CGC account here. All it takes is a free account to submit, and paid members get additional discounts and benefits.
2. Go to the online submission form for comics, cards, video games or home video. (For JSA memorabilia submissions, just bring your item to the show.)
3. Select “Mail-In or Show Drop-Off” to start your submission. Please note that you’ll have the option to choose JSA autograph authentication for comics and cards after choosing your primary grading services.
4. Complete the submission form and print the packing slips.
   
   Important: To ensure that your submission process stays on schedule, please place your collectibles in the order listed on the packing slip. Please bring BOTH copies of the packing slip with your collectibles to the show drop-off. Failure to do so will result in delays.
    
5. Keep your collectibles safe and secure until you drop off your submission (including the packing slip) with a representative.
6. Go to the Express Drop-off sign to finalize your submission.

All submissions will be transported to CGC’s headquarters in Sarasota, Florida, for authentication, grading and encapsulation.
