About Portland Retro Gaming Expo

Let’s celebrate anything and everything to do with video games! Portland Retro Gaming Expo is the Retro Gaming Expo, Inc.’s biggest event of the year, and we’re ready to party hard with our fellow video game enthusiasts. Join us for a packed schedule of tournaments, celebrity meetups, collectible trading and more. Some of our notable events this year include a pinball tourney, a kitten snuggle, a cosplay contest, a VHS swap night and more! Also, don’t miss this year’s special guests, which include Charles Martinet (Super Mario franchise), David Hayter (Metal Gear Solid), Debi Mae West (Tekken 5, World of Warcraft) and more!

Fans also won’t want to miss lots of fun happening at the CGC booth all weekend long! Stay tuned for email and social announcements leading up to the show.

Preparing submissions for the show

CGC is accepting submissions of video games, sports cards, TCGs, non-sports cards, comics, magazines and home video collectibles for grading. To streamline submissions at the show, please take the following steps before arriving:

  1. Create a CGC account here. All it takes is a free account to submit, and paid members get additional discounts and benefits.
  2. Go to the online submission form for video games, comics, cards or home video.
  3. Select “Mail-In or Show Drop-Off” to start your submission.
  4. Complete the submission form and print the packing slips.

Important: To ensure that your submission process stays on schedule, please place your collectibles in the order listed on the packing slip. Please bring BOTH copies of the packing slip with your collectibles to the show drop-off. Failure to do so will result in delays.

  5. Keep your collectibles safe and secure until you drop off your submission (including the packing slip) with a representative.
  6. Go to the Express Drop-off sign to finalize your submission.

All submissions will be transported to CGC’s headquarters in Sarasota, Florida, for authentication, grading and encapsulation.
