Since CGC Video Games™ launched in 2022, video game collectors, dealers and hobbyists alike have flocked to get their games authenticated, graded and encapsulated in CGC's industry-leading holder. In addition to sealed, complete in box and box only games, CGC Video Games accepts other video game submissions for grading, including case pack submissions.

When video game publishers ship their products to dealers and retailers, they ship many individual copies of the game at once in bulk boxes and cases. These bulk packages are called case packs, and each case pack contains a certain quantity of a particular game — usually six or more, depending on the packaging. The number of games included in a case pack varies between console, publisher and era.

CGC Video Games gladly accepts case pack submissions. When a case pack submission is received, CGC Video Games grades each individual game within the case pack. While evaluating games submitted within a case pack, CGC Video Games' graders will determine if the case pack is genuine and make a note on the label indicating whether the games came from a sealed or opened case pack, as well as the number of games contained within that case pack. These designations will be noted as:

  • From a Sealed Case Pack of (#)
  • From an Opened Case Pack of (#)

These case pack designations will be automatically applied to the back of the labels for each submitted game, free of charge.

Please note: CGC Video Games will not accept requests to only grade a specific number of individual games included in a case pack. When a case pack is submitted, every game in the case will be certified and numbered as part of the case pack.

This policy also applies to CrossOver submissions. Games certified by other third-party video game grading companies that feature a case pack designation will have the same designation transferred to the CGC Video Games label.
